We are all delighted here in Cheshire to announce that Sue Winters has been asked to Captain the England Team in the Over 55s age group. The team will be playing both singles and doubles events and will comprise of:

• Sue Winters (Captain) - Cheshire
• Gillian Postelman - Surrey
• Penny Mortimer - Surrey

Matches will be played at Wrexham Tennis Academy on 3 and 4 May 2008 against Wales, Scotland and Ireland. It should be a good weekend of tennis as there will also be matches from the other Veterans' age groups.

2008 sees the50th Anniversary of the Slazenger Junior North League's Annual Tournament!

From its beginnings in 1959 with U18 singles events for boys and girls, the Annual Tournament has grown steadily and is now a substantial week-long event with competition for U10s to U18s in singles and doubles, concluding with Finals Day complete with LTA umpires!

To celebrate this milestone, a list of all past winners of The President Cups has been collated and the League Committee would be delighted to see as many as possible joining the players of today at this year's Finals Day at Alderley Edge on Friday 8 August.
